For my role in Pineapple Panic (Black Banshee Studios, 2024), I started the project as a programmer during a game jam. In this I worked on the initial movement for the auto runner and the lane switching for the player character. I then moved on as a level designer when the game went into production where i worked on game balance and designed 5 levels for the endless runner. Lastly, I ended as the Programming Lead for the project bug fixing, implementing a feedback indicator, and reviewing what was needed for the game to come to completion.
In this setting beginning on spawn the player will automatically moved at a fixed speed. The level is set to be in three different lanes where the transition can occur based on fixed positions.
As a Level Designer, I was able to use mockup drawings to be approved by my design lead and then block out the levels. Once final assets were done replace the meshes with those and balance my levels through QA offering hazards and point chunks to help the player.
I worked closely with the gameplay design lead in having an indicator to increase player feedback indicators and spawn an object based on the players locations.
