For my role in We are Blob (Black Banshee Studios, 2024) , I served as the Programming Lead for the project. I worked on developing the code presented here off my knowledge for just logic base and appearance for the sprite swap and ending scene sequence. It was also my responsibilities to ensure that the team stayed on track with updating Jira Tickets, stayed on track with the game design documentation, and looked towards best optimization practices for the game to progress.
In this system I had to ensure that game objects would switch base on the parameter values to ensure that the image changes to indicate to the player what mood the character is in. Balancing was also a factor here when it came to adjusting health, stress, and hunger.
For the ending scene validation i worked on having the scores collected from all the different relationships be populated towards the end. There were specific parameter sets that were set and data prefabs that needed to be come active once the condition of clearing the gameplay loop finished. This would lead into the credits sequence that was set up as well.
